APEC 5991: Applied Microeconomics

This course provides an opportunity for high school economics teachers to increase their understanding of microeconomics and prepare themselves to teach advanced level courses.
APEC 5991: Applied Microeconomics: Consumers, Producers, and Markets
An intermediate level economics course that addresses such topics as supply and demand, market structure, effects of government regulations, and market failures. Three semester graduate credits will be awarded.
The course will meet on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota. It costs $349 per credit plus fees ($1,047), which vary depending on the enrolling college. Registration for the course will take place during the first class meeting.
You can sign up for this course by calling the Minnesota Council at 612-625-3727. If you would like financial assistance, you may apply for a scholarship through the James P. Houck Memorial Fund. Complete your scholarship application online or download an application form and mail it to the Minnesota Council by May 18. Recipients of the scholarships will be notified by June 1.
