College in the Schools at the University of Minnesota,
Twin Cities

College in the Schools delivers regular U of M credit courses to high-achieving high school students right in their own schools. Selected high school teachers are appointed as affiliated U of M faculty and teach the U of M courses, supported by ongoing, discipline-specific professional development provided by U of M faculty and their sponsoring academic departments.

Help Students Succeed in College
College in the Schools gives students direct experience with the pace, academic standards, and individual responsibility inherent in college education. In short, they become real U of M students taking real U of M courses.

Support Teachers and Strengthen Academics
College in the Schools serves students and teachers. We know it's important to give students rigorous academic options. We also believe it essential to provide ongoing professional development for our teachers.
