A one-day workshop on the exciting curriculum, Economics in Action: 14 Greatest Hits for Teaching High School Economics will be offered free by the Minnesota Council on Economic Education.

This curriculum actively involves students in simulations, group interaction activities, role play and classroom demonstrations to teach about trade, economic decision-making, productivity, inflation, fiscal policy, exchange rates, and comparative advantage and trade in a global economy. The curriculum is a collection of the 14 all-time favorite lessons from earlier publications by the National Council on Economic Education. The lessons can easily be used in government and history classes as well as economics classes.

The instructor for this workshop is Dr. Curt Anderson, Director, Center for Economic Education, University of Minnesota Duluth. There is no fee to attend. Participants will receive a free copy of the curriculum, lunch and refreshments, and a $20 stipend. Funding for this workshop is provided by individual donors in collaboration with St. Olaf College.
