Personal Finance Camp, Duluth
For Teachers Grades 7-12

This four-day workshop on personal finance for teachers of grades 7-12 is an opportunity to learn innovative ways to engage students in learning about investing in human capital, financial planning, saving and investing, budgeting, and using credit wisely. The camp will begin with lunch at noon on the first day and conclude at 4:30p.m. on the last day.
Workshop participants will receive curricula, lunches and refreshments. Dorm lodging is available to the first 20 participants to register who reside more than 75 miles from Duluth. Workshop enrollment is limited to 25 teachers.
The topics addressed in this workshop can make a significant difference in the lives of your students, now and in the future. The workshop is designed to provide you with materials and leaning activities that can help your students attain the personal finance skills they need to make intelligent choices about managing money, making financial decisions, and investing in themselves.
The curricula provided at the workshop includes Financial Fitness for Life, Risky Business and Financing Your Future from the National Council on Economic Education; and High School Financial Planning ProgramŽ from the National Endowment for Financial Education.
The workshop will be led by Professor Curt Anderson from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Registration deadline is June 13 or when enrollment reaches 25. Registration requires a $50 REFUNDABLE deposit.
