Personal Finance Decathlon
For Teachers Grades 9-12

Register: January 15 - March 18, 2008
Compete online: March 24 - April 11, 2008
State Championship: April 23, 2008
at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

Challenge your students to show what they know about personal finance and sound money management! Students in grades 9-12 are eligible.

Teachers register any number of teams of 3-5 students. Teams select a time between March 24 - April 11 to take the online test, which covers 10 areas of personal finance [click here to read details of the 10 areas]. Teams will have three hours to complete testing. The online test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. Individual tests are assigned randomly so that members on the same team will not take identical tests. The four highest-scoring teams from different schools will be invited to compete in a double elimination quiz-bowl contest hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis on April 23. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to winning teams and team members.

Help make the first Decathlon a big success. Go to www.financechallenge.org after January 15 to register your teams. March 18 is the last day to register.

This competition is supported by ING Foundation.
