Colleen Gray comes to MCEE with an eclectic background in education, nonprofit program management, and business. Her passion for economics education was cultivated as she was challenged to fit lessons into an already crowded Social Studies curriculum. As a teacher, she leaned on MCEE to grasp a better understanding of economics and how to make it relevant in the lives of her students.
Understanding the pressures and demands on teachers, Colleen is committed to serving teachers by providing curriculum and resources that are classroom-ready, meet standards and engage students. Recognizing that teachers’ time is valuable and scarce, a goal for Colleen is for teachers to leave MCEE training excited, prepared, and energized to teach economics.
Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-River Falls majoring in Journalism and Business Communications and a Master’s degree in Teaching from the College of St. Scholastica. She worked for the Hermantown School District, Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, and Cargill, Incorporated.
“MCEE is the best-kept teacher resource secret and I want to let all teachers in on it. We are here to serve teachers and make their lives easier.” Colleen Gray
