Sue grew up on a dairy farm in north central Wisconsin. She attended North Central Technical College in Wausau, WI for clerical training and graduated in 1974 with the Outstanding Graduate Award. She was employed with the Univ. of MN, Medical School Curriculum from 1974-1980, then traveled and lived on the east coast, where she was employed as Secretary to the Head of Pediatric Nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. In 1982, she returned to the Univ. of MN in the Dept. of Agricultural and Applied Economics. She has remained with the department since 1982 and currently serves as administrative specialist for department faculty, MCEE and limited support for InSTePP. Sue organized a women's pool league for 10 years, participated on intramural and city league softball teams, enjoys music and is an avid Packers fan. In furthering her interest in music, Sue joined the Twin Cities Women's Choir (TCWC) in 2006, served on the TCWC Board of Directors 2008-2014 and as Board Secretary 2011-2014. In addition, she serves on several TCWC committees and has volunteered as concert ticket sales coordinator since 2008, while performing in concerts and participating in various musical events in the Twin Cities Metro area.
