Teaching High School Economics

“My comfort and confidence level of teaching economics went from low to high in just one week. The instructors provided an authentic learning environment that I know I can replicate in my classroom. On top of that, I have a TON of lesson ideas and resources to share with my peer teachers that can be used to enrich our students' learning experience."

This four-day course helps prepare educators to teach high school economics and builds confidence in those with little background. Providing a solid introduction to the high school MN academic standards in economics, the first half of the course focuses on microeconomics and the second half focuses on macroeconomics. Both content and pedagogy are included, along with hands-on activities and simulations to bring into the classroom.

Teachers will leave the course with not only a stronger understanding of economics but also with the tools to teach these concepts to your students.
