Thrivent Financial Leadership Award

Sponsored by Thrivent Financial, the Thrivent Financial Personal Finance Leadership Award will recognize on teacher annually who shows commitment to personal finance education and professional growth.

Eligibility

Must be a full-time, K-12 classroom teacher with at least three years classroom experience, and at least three years of experience teaching personal finance.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Teaching: direct contact with K-12 students in personal finance-related courses, programs, and extracurricular activities, and the ability to attract and stimulate students to achieve the intended learning outcomes in personal finance.
  • Professional Growth: ongoing evidence of the educator's interest in enhancing their teaching of personal finance and continued development.

Recognition

Award winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000. The winner will be featured in MCEE's newsletter and on the website and will be recognized at our annual celebration EconFest.

Nomination Process

Teachers may nominate themselves or may be nominated by a peer, a school administrator, curriculum specialist, community or business representative, or a director of a Center for Economic Education.

Awards Celebration

Award winners, along with their administrators, will be honored at EconFest, our annual celebration in the Fall.
