Sponsored by Thrivent, the Thrivent Personal Finance Leadership Award will recognize on teacher annually who shows commitment to personal finance education and professional growth.
Must be a full-time, K-12 classroom teacher with at least three years classroom experience, and at least three years of experience teaching personal finance.
- Teaching: direct contact with K-12 students in personal finance-related courses, programs, and extracurricular activities, and the ability to attract and stimulate students to achieve the intended learning outcomes in personal finance.
- Professional Growth: ongoing evidence of the educator's interest in enhancing their teaching of personal finance and continued development.
Award winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000. The winner will be featured in MCEE's newsletter and on the website and will be recognized at our annual celebration EconFest.
Teachers may nominate themselves or may be nominated by a peer, a school administrator, curriculum specialist, community or business representative, or a director of a Center for Economic Education.
Award winners, along with their administrators, will be honored at EconFest, our annual celebration in the Fall.
