Colleen Gray

Colleen Gray is an Education Director with the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE), she partners with school districts to ensure that teachers have the resources, support, and confidence to teach the MN Economic K-12 Academic Standards; with universities/colleges to ensure students in teacher preparation programs understand how to teach economic standards; and with community education to ensure citizens have access to equitable and relevant economics and personal finance resources.

Through her eclectic background in human resources, non-profit program management, and education, Colleen has learned the importance of understanding basic concepts of economic and personal finance. She is particularly focused on how that knowledge, regardless of what age the concepts are learned, allows for clarity regarding the impact of our choices, and an opportunity to set (or reset) the path to achieve and maintain financial health.

Colleen holds an MA in teaching from the College of St. Scholastica and BA in journalism and business communications from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.

“MCEE is the best-kept teacher resource secret and I want to let all teachers in on it. We are here to serve teachers and make their lives easier.” - Colleen Gray
