Personal Finance Decathlon
The Personal Finance Decathlon is an exciting competition for high school students to practice real-world skills in managing money and solving problems.
Teams of students compete online to demonstrate their knowledge of fundamental personal finance topics, with the top teams being invited to the state competition to showcase their talent in addressing real-world financial challenges and communicating effectively.
This is one of our most popular programs for students and provides an opportunity for students to consider how their own lives are shaped by the financial decisions they make today. One team will advance to represent Minnesota in the national competition in May.
The Minnesota Council on Economic Education is grateful to the Allianz Life Foundation, RBC Wealth Management, Securian Financial, and the University of Minnesota - Department of Applied Economics for their generous support of the 2024 Personal Finance Decathlon competition.
New Teachers:
New teachers who have at least one team compete in the competition will receive $200.
